The reason I am taking this class is because I really enjoy photography and capturing moments in life to remember. I also want to learn more about the settings of a camera, and to be able to take better quality photos that are worth looking at and enjoying. I think it would be really cool to learn more about film cameras and see how they work. I also want to be able to make wise edits to pictures that better enhance them. In the past, I have mostly just used my iPhone 13, and occasionally a small canon.

The picture above is of some wildflowers from my garden that I planted this summer. I really love wildflowers and picking them into small bouquets, and this was some that I had picked. I like this picture because of the story it kind of creates because you can tell that someone just picked them because of the scissors, and also the flowers in the background. I used an app on my iPhone called OldRoll to take this picture.

This picture above I took sitting on my front porch steps at my house. I was reading on the porch because it was raining outside and I wanted to enjoy the weather. I had my sister stand out in the driveway a bit with an umbrella, but then focused it on the book I was reading. I took this with my iPhone 13 as well.

This picture I took on Grassy Lake in Minnesota while fishing. I like this picture because of the silhouette style it kind of gives and the sun reflecting on the lake. I also chose this picture as my feature photo because of the beauty and memories it reminds me of in Minnesota.

The picture above I took through the perspective of someone else’s phone who was also taking a picture. I like this picture because of the view and different perspective it gives. It is focused on the other phone, but you can still tell there are trees in the background.

I chose this picture to include because of the beauty of the wildflowers and sunset in Minnesota. I like how it is focused on the wildflowers, but the flowers and doc also give a bit of a leading line into the sunset which is also cool with the reflection.

This picture above I took in Minnesota on the way back from successful fishing on Grassy Lake. That evening was a lot of fun and created great memories. I chose it not as much for its quality, but for the older style it gives, and for the reflection of the sun on the back of the truck.
