What is the Rule of Thirds?

The rule of thirds is a composition method that makes your picture look better. If you are taking a picture in the rule of thirds you want to get the subject on an intersection point and not have the subject in the center of the photo.
Why Use the Rule of thirds?
The reason that a photographer would use the rule of thirds is because when you use the rule of thirds it makes your photo look more appealing. The rule of thirds also causes someone to look at your photo longer and the longer someone looks at your photo the more favorable they find it.
How to use the rule of thirds?
If you want to take a picture using the rule of thirds you take a picture either using the grid on the camera or by using an imaginary grid. Then you take the picture with the main subject of the photo being at an intersection point on the grid.
