Rule of Thirds:

Imagine taking a picture but divide the photo into thirds both horizontally and vertically. Then you place your main subject around one of those intersections. This is what you do when you use the rule of thirds.

The purpose of the rule of thirds is to keep your picture inviting. Using the Rule of thirds can make your picture more pleasing to look at.

Like shown in the picture above, you use and take pictures with the rule of thirds by imagining the lines and then placing your subject on one of the intersections. The intersection that people look at the most is the top left. Anything on the top intersections usually grabs people’s attention longer than the bottoms ones.

All of the images I took were on or around the lines that you use in the rule of thirds. Most of the pictures I took were on the right side of the picture which I would change that in future, but it follows the rule of thirds.

I chose this image as my featured image because I feel like it uses the rule of thirds well. It is also a cool picture to look at because there’s much more to it than just one subject.
