Why am I taking this class?
I am taking this class because I enjoy photography and want to grow in what I already know. I think photography is a great way to capture enjoyable moments to look back on.
What picture taking equipment have I used in the past?
I have some experience with equipment like a film camera, polaroid camera, digital camera, and a little with a DSLR and of course my phone.
What goals do I have for this class?
I would like to be confident in take pictures and know the settings of a camera better.
I like this photo because the contrast between the drinks and the background makes the drinks stand out more. Since the background is more blurred compared to the drinks it adds dimension to the photo. I also think the color scheme makes the coffee shop look calm and cozy.
I like this photo because the trailers corner divides some of the photo and guides you to the words written on the trailer. I also enjoy the way the lights bring you into the picture from the top also leading you to the center. You can also see the the sun is reflecting off of the top of the trailer showing you that the day was sunny. I took this picture with my phone.
I like this photo because of the birds which slowly lead you to sun. You can also see that waves eating at the shore at the bottom of the photo. I also like the way the way the colors contrast and because they are opposite on the color wheel it makes the sun stand out even more. I took this picture with my phone.
I like this photo because of the way that the ocean and the sky cuts the photo in half. I also like how you are immediately lead to the sailing boat in the distance and the way the ocean is shimmering. You can also see a slight streak of light shining down through the photo. It might not seem like much but it also leads to the sailboat in a way. I took this picture with my phone.
I like this photo because of the way there is motion in the photo. You can almost imagine them spinning because of the way their hair and skirts are twirling. I also like the scenery behind them which is a little bit blurred making them the focus. The sky and the trees also divide the photo somewhat and makes it more interesting. I like this photo because the way the light creates a cozy vibe. It also shows you where the center is. There are also some things that add to the photo which makes you look longer, for example my record player or my posters. They are not the focus but add to the photo.
