The Mode Dial & Histograms

The Mode Dial: The mode dial is a setting on the camera that you can change depending on what picture you are taking. There are seven basic settings that are used, when taking photos. The modes are the following: The green program/auto mode, portrait mode, landscape mode, macro mode, sports mode, night (party) mode, and no flash mode. The auto mode will automatically have the flash on and the no flash mode will never show the flash. Each of the seven settings play a vital role in your photos.

Each camera's mode dial might look slightly different, the photo of the camera above is mine.

What mode felt the most natural?: I feel like the mode that felt the most natural to me was the landscape mode just because it is how we see things with our own eyes. Everything is clear and sharp and I like how those photos look.

When would you choose manual mode over automatic mode?: I would choose manual mode over the automatic mode when I might want to have a specific subject in focus and everything else out of focus. Or when I want the photo to be slightly blurred for a relaxed effect.

This is an example of the landscape mode in photography.Where the foreground and background are both clear/sharp. I chose this photo as my featured image because I really like how the picture is so bright and clear. I enjoy some of the colorful leaves. I like the setting and just the trees in general, because I really like the woods.
