How does lighting direction affect your subject’s tone? Lighting direction affects the subject’s tone by making a subject appear more dramatic, textured, clear, emotional, etc.

What surprised you about shooting shadows? It surprised me how much shadows are able to dramatize a photo, making a normal photo a unique and eye-catching photo.

I chose this photo as the featured image because of the effect that the lighting had on it. The building is front lit by the light which illuminates the surrounding area, adding a dramatic effect to the photo.
