Layering

How and why would a photographer layer subjects in their image? Photographers do this to add interest and depth. They do this to keep the viewer looking at the photo, increasing intrest.

I chose this photo because it has a lot of depth. In the front, there is the plant; in the midground, there are the books and chairs; in the background, there are the lights.
In this photo, the BMW is in the foreground, and in the midground, there is the yard and the light post, and the background is the sky.
In this photo, the foreground is the ladder and the mid ground is the books, and the background and the background it the shelf itself.
In this photo, the foreground is the flowers and the midground is the year, and the background is the tree and the sky.
