On Friday, the 12th, our photography class took a field trip to Green Dragon Market. We spent the afternoon walking around and taking photos that followed the composition rules that we have spent the semester learning. There were plenty of things to take pictures of, and there were food stands, furniture stores, and so much more. This post will give you a glimpse of what we experienced.

Framing: The subject is framed by an object in the photo. In this photo, I have Joelle framed by the mirror that was for sale.

Rule of thirds: In this photo, the orange lands right on an intersecting line.

Balance: This photo is highly elevated because of the wide variety of color.

Leading lines: The cartons form lines that direct the viewer’s eye.

Balance: This is specifically symmetrical balance

Perspective: This is a photo taken at a normal height showing the wide variety of vegetables that a person can see at Green Dragon.

Rule of thirds: In this photo, the orange falls in the middle between the horizontal lines.
