Framing

This photo qualifies as “framing” because the subjects are framed by the bus mirror.

This is framing because the mirror captures the landscape in its “frame”

She is framed by the car window

The mirror frame captures the background. This is also my featured image because I like how the background is captured and how we are still able to see what is going on behind the car in the middle of the photo.

What is framing in photography? When you use elements of your photo to create a frame for your main subject.

Why should a photographer use framing? Framing creates an allusion that points people to your subject, making them look at your image longer and appreciate it more.

How to begin to use framing in your pictures? You should have at least 2 sides framed, and ensure your object is clear and centered within your frame.

This photo is framed by the tree on the left and the tree at the bottom.
