Balance is important in a photo because it gives it a sense of stability and harmony. It also helps the viewers eye naturally move though the image. To start taking pictures with balance start focusing on where you place your subject, and also through the use of shapes. There are two different types of balance photo you can take. The first one is symmetric balance, which is also known as formal balance. The second one is asymmetric balance, also known as informal balance. Tonal balance, subject balance, color balance, and conceptional balance are all types of asymmetric balance.

This picture is of my pumpkin that my boyfriend got me for a joke because he thought it would be funny that he told me he was getting me a small pumpkin, but actually it was that big I couldn’t even carry it. This is also an example of color balance because the background and the pumpkin are very different colors, which makes the pumpkin pop.
